Since 2003, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel the state’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our country toward energy independence.

The Gage Wind Project features:

  • Up to 50 GE wind turbines capable of generating up to 124 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
  • Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations by the end of 2022.

Wind farms are compatible with agriculture and are fast becoming an important component of farm viability in Nebraska and many other areas across the country. They can also generate significant economic benefits for the communities that host them.

Employment Opportunities

Gage Wind will create local employment opportunities, including up to 200 construction and 5 good-paying, full-time jobs to maintain and operate.

The project provides approximately $23 million* in payments to Gage County landowners - stable, reliable income families can depend on, regardless of weather.
