100 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Callaway County, Missouri

For decades, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel America’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our nation toward energy independence. To date, we operate solar projects in 27 states, and the Guthrie Solar project will be among the one of the first solar projects in Missouri.


Features of the Guthrie Solar project:

  • Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays capable of generating up to 100 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
  • The project encompasses approximately 600 acres.
  • Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations in 2024.

Employment Opportunities

The Guthrie Solar project will create local employment opportunities, including up to 250 jobs to construct the project.

Additional Revenue

The Project provides increased economic activity and as a result of the construction jobs, will provide indirect income to local businesses including hotels, restaurants, caterers, and other entities.
