JORDAN CREEK WIND ENERGY CENTER
400 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Benton and Warren Counties, Indiana
Since 2017, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel the state's economic growth and quality of life and moving our country toward energy independence. To date, we have invested approximately $186 million in Indiana, including one operational wind energy center.
The Jordan Creek Wind Energy Center features:
- 146 GE wind turbines capable of generating up to 400 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy
- Began commercial operations in December 2020
COMMUNITY BENEFITS
Bringing Economic Opportunities
Wind farms are compatible with agriculture and are fast becoming an important component of farm viability in Indiana and many areas across the country. They can also generate significant economic benefits for the communities that host them.

Landowners Payments
The Project provides approximately $75 million in payments to landowners — stable, reliable income families can depend on, regardless of weather.

County Tax Revenue
The Project provides approximately $50 million in additional revenue for Benton and Warren counties, money that can enhance local roads, schools and services.

Local Spending
Wind farms provide indirect income to local businesses, including hotels, restaurants, caterers and office supply companies.
