WHEATRIDGE EAST WIND PROJECT

200 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Umatilla and Morrow Counties, Oregon

Since 2003, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel the state’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our country toward energy independence. To date, we have invested approximately $548 million in Oregon, including three operational wind energy centers.

The Wheatridge East Wind project features:

  • Up to 201 GE wind turbines capable of generating approximately 200 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
  • Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations by June 2024.
