About the Project

The Clearwater Wind Energy Center is an innovative wind project in Rosebud, Custer and Garfield Counties in Montana that has a capacity of up to 750 megawatts of clean, renewable energy. The Clearwater Wind Energy Center is more than wind turbines - it represents a significant capital investment in Montana. It creates good-paying jobs and provides millions in additional revenue for landowners and the local community

It is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun.
