ASPEN SOLAR PROJECT
375 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Waupaca County, Wisconsin
For decades, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel America’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our nation toward energy independence. To date, we operate solar projects in 29 states, and multiple projects in Wisconsin including Point Beach Solar and Two Creeks Solar.
Features of the Aspen Solar project:
- Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays capable of generating up to 375 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
- The project encompasses approximately 1,500 acres.
- Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations by August 2026.

Bringing Economic Opportunities
Solar projects generate home-grown, renewable energy while preserving clean air and water. They can also generate significant economic benefits for the communities that host them.

Employment Opportunities
The Aspen Solar project will create local employment opportunities, including up to 250 jobs to construct the project.

County Tax Revenue
The Project provides approximately $25 million* in additional revenue for Waupaca County, money that can enhance local roads, schools and services.
