About the Project

The Borderlands Wind farm is an innovative wind project proposed for Catron County, New Mexico with a capacity of up to 100 megawatts of clean, renewable energy. The Borderlands Wind Energy Center is more than wind turbines - it represents a significant capital investment in New Mexico. It creates good-paying jobs and provides millions in additional revenue for landowners and the local community.

It is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun.
