Ryan Flanagan is a Project Manager at NextEra Energy Resources and is currently developing multiple renewable energy projects across California. Prior to joining NextEra, he was a Coast Guard officer and licensed captain. He is a father of four from Brunswick, Maine, and enjoys spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors. After pursuing an MBA in sustainable entrepreneurship from Cornell University, Ryan worked at a deep ocean decarbonization startup growing seaweed to sequester carbon. In his role, Ryan meets with stakeholders and landowners to discuss project specifics, timelines and the economic benefits projects can bring to communities.
