DELTA BOBCAT SOLAR PROJECT

200 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri


For decades, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel America’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our nation toward energy independence. To date, we operate solar projects in more than 30 states, and Cape Girardeau County will be among the first solar projects in Missouri.

 

Features of the Delta Bobcat Solar project:

  • Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays capable of generating up to 200 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
  • The project encompasses approximately 1,200 acres.
  • Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations in November 2026.

Employment Opportunities

The Delta Bobcat Solar project will create local employment opportunities, including up to 250 jobs to construct the project.

Additional Revenue

The Project provides increased economic activity and as a result of the construction jobs, will provide indirect income to local businesses including hotels, restaurants, caterers, and other entities.
