DOG VALLEY SOLAR PROJECT

275 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Juab County, Utah


For decades, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel America’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our nation toward energy independence. To date, we operate solar projects in more than 30 states.


Features of the Dog Valley Solar project:

  • Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays capable of generating up to 275 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
  • The project encompasses approximately 1,320 acres.
  • Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations by February 2028.

Employment Opportunities

The Dog Valley Solar project will create local employment opportunities, including up to 415 jobs to construct the project.

County Tax Revenue

The Project provides approximately $16 million* in additional revenue in the Juab County community, money that can enhance local roads, schools and services.
