For decades, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel America’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our nation toward energy independence. This project uses batteries to store energy and make it available when it’s most needed, improving the reliability and efficiency of the electric grid.

Features of Dominguez Energy Storage:

  • The project encompasses approximately 18 acres.
  • Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations as early as December 2025.
  • The project is located on land owned by Salt Lake City Corporation. The project provides additional lease payments of more than $35 MM dollars over the life of the project (nominal dollars) in addition to the significant tax revenue it will generate.
