About the Project
Iberville Energy Center is an innovative battery energy storage project proposed for Iberville Parish, Louisiana that features batteries with a capacity of up to 175 megawatts. It will provide additional flexibility in managing the energy grid, helping keep the lights on when demand for electricity is at its peak. Iberville Energy Center is more than batteries — it represents a significant capital investment in Louisiana. It will create good-paying jobs and millions in additional revenue for the local community.
It is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun and a leader in battery storage.
