MANILA SOLAR PROJECT

200 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Mississippi County, Arkansas


For decades, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel America’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our nation toward energy independence. To date, we operate solar projects in more than 30 states, and multiple projects in Arkansas including Stuttgart Solar and Chicot County Solar.


Features of the Manila Solar project:

  • Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays capable of generating up to 200 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
  • The project encompasses approximately 2,600 acres.
  • Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations by December 2026.

Employment Opportunities

The Manila Solar project will create local employment opportunities, including up to 300 jobs to construct the project.

City Tax Revenue

The Project provides approximately $14 million* in additional revenue for Mississippi County, money that can enhance local roads, schools and services.
