About the Project

New Salem Wind I and II are innovative wind projects proposed for Morton County and Oliver County, North Dakota that will have a capacity of approximately 375 megawatts total of clean, renewable energy. The New Salem Wind I and II projects are more than wind turbines - they represent a significant capital investment in North Dakota. Once operational, they will create good-paying jobs and provide millions in additional revenue for landowners and the local community.

They are a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun.
