PANA SOLAR PROJECT

100 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Christian County, Illinois


For decades, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel America’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our nation toward energy independence. To date, we operate solar projects in more than 30 states, including 2 small and large-scale solar projects in Mc Lean and University Park.

 

Features of the Pana Solar project:

  • Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays capable of generating up to 100 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
  • The project encompasses approximately 670 acres.
  • Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations as early as December 2023.

Employment Opportunities

The Pana Solar project will create local employment opportunities, including up to 200 jobs to construct the project.

County Tax Revenue

The Project provides approximately $25 million* in additional revenue for Christian County, money that can enhance local roads, schools and services.
