About the Project
The Panama Energy Center project is an innovative solar and energy storage project proposed for Lancaster County, Nebraska that will combine up to 304 megawatts of clean, solar energy with 120 megawatts of battery energy storage. The Panama Energy Center is more than solar panels and batteries — it represents a significant capital investment in Nebraska. Once operational, it will create good-paying jobs and millions in additional revenue for the local community.
It is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun and a leader in battery storage.
