About the Project
The Prairie Wind project is an innovative wind project proposed for Grand Forks and Nelson Counties in North Dakota that will have a capacity of approximately 200 megawatts of clean, renewable energy. The Prairie Wind project is more than wind turbines — it represents a significant capital investment in North Dakota. Once operational, it will create good-paying jobs and provide millions in additional revenue for landowners and the local community.
It is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun.
