Center, ND - NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the parent company of the Oliver I, II and III Wind Energy Centers recently continued their partnership with Center-Stanton Elementary School by donating $3,650 to be used for additional iPads for students.
“We’d like to thank NextEra Energy Resources for their kindness and generosity,” said Center-Stanton Elementary Principal, Mark Sondag. “With the ever-changing need of up-to-date technology, the money NextEra Energy Resources has donated will help us purchase additional i-Pads for our elementary students.”
The company initially donated $3,100 for iPads in March. By contributing additional iPads, the school will be able to reach their goal to facilitate learning at a one-on-one level.
“We are proud to continue supporting Center-Stanton Elementary School,” said Jeffrey Bryce, NextEra Energy Resources Project Manager. “We have been working with the local community in Oliver County for over ten years, and we look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come.”
An affiliate of NextEra Energy Resources is currently developing the Red Butte Wind project in Oliver County which will bring significant economic boosts to the local community, including hundreds of construction jobs and good paying, full-time operations jobs. Once operational, Red Butte Wind will be capable of generating 200 megawatts of low-cost electricity. Since 2003, NextEra Energy Resources’ subsidiaries have been generating homegrown energy in North Dakota and helping fuel the state’s economic growth.
