About the Project
The Rock Creek Solar project is an innovative solar and energy storage project proposed for the cities of Clinton and Camanche, and Clinton County, Iowa that will have a capacity of up to 150 megawatts of clean, renewable, American-made solar energy, combined with 100 megawatts of battery energy storage. The Rock Creek Solar project is more than solar panels — it represents a significant capital investment in Iowa. Once operational, it will create good-paying jobs and millions in additional revenue for the local community.
Rock Creek Solar is a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun.
