SKYLIGHT SOLAR PROJECT

78 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Nash County, North Carolina


For decades, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel America’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our nation toward energy independence. To date, we operate solar projects in more than 30 states.

Features of the Skylight Solar project:

  •  Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays capable of generating up to 78 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
  • The project encompasses approximately 650 acres.
  • Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations as early as December 2025.

Employment Opportunities

The Skylight Solar project will create local employment opportunities, including up to 175 jobs to construct the project.

Economic Output

The Project provides $15.4 million* dollars in additional revenue for Nash County, money that can enhance local roads, schools and services.
