WEST GARDNER SOLAR PROJECT

About the Project

The West Gardner Solar project is an innovative solar and energy storage project proposed for Johnson County and Douglas County, Kansas that will have a capacity of up to 320 megawatts of clean, renewable, American-made solar energy, combined with 128 megawatts of battery energy storage. The West Gardner Solar Project is more than solar panels and batteries - it represents a significant capital investment in Kansas. Once operational, it will create good-paying jobs and millions in additional revenue for the local community.

It is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun.
