200 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Sumner County, Kansas
Since 2003, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel the state’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our country toward energy independence.
The Wild Plains Energy Center II project features:
- Up to 72 GE wind turbines capable of generating approximately 200 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
- Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations by November 2027.
