WILLOW CREEK WIND PROJECT
220 Megawatts of Clean Energy in Noble and Pawnee Counties, Oklahoma
Since 2003, NextEra Energy Resources' subsidiaries have been helping fuel the state’s economic growth and quality of life and moving our country toward energy independence. To date, we have invested approximately $6.8 billion in Oklahoma, including two operational wind energy centers.
The Willow Creek Wind project features:
- Up to 201 GE wind turbines capable of generating approximately 220 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy.
- Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations by December 2025.

Bringing Economic Opportunities
Wind farms are compatible with agriculture and are fast becoming an important component of farm viability in Oklahoma and many areas across the country. They can also generate significant economic benefits for the communities that host them.
Employment Opportunities
Willow Creek Wind will create local employment opportunities, including up to 400 construction and 10 good-paying, full-time jobs to maintain and operate.
Landowners Payments
The Project provides approximately $1 million* in payments to Noble and Pawnee County landowners — stable, reliable income families can depend on, regardless of weather.
County Tax Revenue
The Project provides approximately $57 million* in additional revenue for Noble and Pawnee Counties, money that can enhance local roads, schools and services.
Local Spending
Wind farms provide indirect income to local businesses, including hotels, restaurants, caterers and other companies.
