Matt Johnson, a lifelong Wisconsinite, has been with NextEra Energy for over three years. As a Project Developer at NextEra Energy Resources, he has focused on developing wind, battery and solar projects. Matt started on the Community Engagement team for three years and then moved to the early-stage development team focusing on Wisconsin and Minnesota.

One of Matt's favorite parts of her job is building relationships and engaging with the communities involved in his projects. His work involves not just the technical aspects of project development but also the equally vital task of relationship building. Matt thrives on forming meaningful connections with local communities, understanding their unique needs, and ensuring that his projects bring positive, lasting benefits to the areas they serve. His ability to engage with stakeholders, from community leaders to residents, has been crucial in the seamless integration of renewable energy projects within these communities.
