AMBER MEADOW SOLAR PROJECT

About the Project

Amber Meadow Solar, LLC, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, is developing a proposed energy center project in Irwin County, Georgia. Designed to generate up to 200 megawatts of energy, the project represents a $430 million investment in the local community. The proposed project area encompasses approximately 1,500 acres, with roughly 900 acres expected to be occupied by solar panels.

When constructed, the project is expected to create up to 270 construction jobs and contribute $49.2 million in payments in lieu of taxes over the life of the project to local taxing authorities. As development continues, we are working through the applicable permitting and review processes and remain committed to bringing reliable energy infrastructure and economic investment to Irwin County.

It is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun.
