CHUGWATER ENERGY PROJECT

About the Project

The Chugwater Energy Project is an innovative wind, solar and battery storage project proposed for Platte County, Wyoming. It will consist of Chugwater Wind, LLC and Chugwater Energy Center, LLC. Chugwater Wind will have a capacity of up to 300 megawatts of clean, renewable, American-made wind energy. Chugwater Energy Center will have the capacity of 150 megawatts of solar energy, combined with 150 megawatts of battery energy storage. When the project is complete, it will have a combined capacity of approximately 600 megawatts of homegrown energy.

Chugwater Wind and Chugwater Energy Center are indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the country’s largest energy infrastructure developer.
