About the Project
The Grass Lake Solar project is an innovative solar project proposed for Leoni Township and Grass Lake Charter Township, part of Jackson County, Michigan that will have a capacity of up to 100 megawatts of clean, renewable, American-made solar energy. The Grass Lake Solar project is more than solar panels - it represents a significant capital investment in Michigan. Once operational, it will create good-paying jobs and millions in additional revenue for the local community.
It is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and the sun.
