NextEra Energy Resources is primarily a competitive wholesale power generator. Our company is not a public utility. We operate a growing portfolio of facilities, totaling approximately 18,000 net megawatts, from power plants in 26 states and Canada. We sell the output to companies and businesses with an interest in clean energy, including utilities, retail electricity providers, power cooperatives, municipal electric providers and large industrial customers.

Power Marketing, LLC, a NextEra Energy Resources subsidiary, is rated one of the top 10 marketers of U.S. power by Platts, an industry publication. Power Marketing is also one of the largest U.S. purchasers of natural gas and markets the largest renewable energy portfolio in the country. The company's activities include:

• Buying and selling wholesale energy commodities, such as natural gas, oil and electricity
• Managing all the fuel needs of NextEra Energy Resources’ power generation fleet
• Marketing the output to customers across the country
• Providing retail electricity to customers in select U.S. areas

Environmental commitment
NextEra Energy Resources promotes power generation through the use of clean-burning fuels and renewable resources. For example, NextEra Energy Resources wind facilities enabled our customers who purchased the renewable attributes to reduce emissions. Over the last five years, NextEra Energy Resources’ wind generation projects prevented the release of nearly 28 million tons of carbon dioxide and other pollutants.
