Brian Bolster is president and chief executive officer of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the largest energy infrastructure developer in the U.S. Mr. Bolster is also a member of the board of directors of XPLR Infrastructure, LP.
Mr. Bolster previously served as the executive vice president, finance and chief financial officer (CFO) for NextEra Energy and the executive vice president, finance and CFO of Florida Power & Light Company, America’s largest electric utility.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Bolster was the head of natural resources in the Americas at Goldman Sachs with responsibility for the administration of investment banking across power, infrastructure, chemicals, energy, metals and mining. He joined the energy and power group at Goldman Sachs as an associate in 1999, was named managing director in 2007 and became a partner in 2012.
Mr. Bolster holds a Bachelor of Arts in government, a Master of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.
Petter Skantze is senior vice president of infrastructure development, at NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the largest energy infrastructure developer in the U.S., where he oversees grid-scale power, origination, natural gas and transmission businesses.
Previously, Mr. Skantze was vice president of corporate development and strategy for NextEra Energy, engaged in mergers and acquisitions and corporate strategy across regulated and unregulated businesses.
Prior to joining the company in 2011, Mr. Skantze was an investment banker in the power and utilities groups of Deutsche Bank and Bear Stearns, and a consultant in the energy practice of the Boston Consulting Group.
Mr. Skantze holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree in engineering and a doctorate in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Leslie D. Biddle is senior vice president of commercial solutions at NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the largest energy infrastructure developer in the U.S., where she oversees EverBright, gas infrastructure, Gexa and renewable natural gas.
Prior to joining NextEra Energy Resources, Ms. Biddle was the deputy undersecretary for commercialization and finance at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Infrastructure, where she focused on commercialization, market adoption and private sector financing. Before joining the department, Ms. Biddle was a partner at Serengeti Asset Management, a specialty investment firm focused on private and public credit opportunities and the development of financing platforms.
Ms. Biddle also was a partner at Goldman Sachs and member of the senior commodities management team. In addition, she served as a vice president at the AES Corporation, focusing on power plant development, financing and acquisitions.
Ms. Biddle earned a bachelor’s degree from Colby College.
Michele Canino is vice president of regulatory & political affairs for NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the largest energy infrastructure developer in the U.S., where she oversees the development and implementation of regulatory and legislative strategies.
Ms. Canino has held a variety of leadership roles during her more than 30-year career at NextEra Energy, including trading and risk management, internal audit, customer service and finance. Before joining the company, she served as vice president and chief risk officer at First Wind Energy, LLC, and held positions at Ryder Systems, Inc. and Deloitte Touche, LLC.
Ms. Canino earned dual bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from Florida State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami.
Matt Roskot is currently senior vice president of business management & finance for NextEra Energy Resources, the largest energy infrastructure developer in the U.S. In this role, he has direct profit and loss responsibility for all of NextEra Energy Resources’ generating assets. Mr. Roskot also has responsibility for leading NextEra Energy Resources’ day-to-day financial functions.
Mr. Roskot joined NextEra Energy in 2014 and has held various business and finance roles. He was previously vice president, NextEra Energy Partners, where he led all the partnership’s key activities. In addition, he held the position of director of investor relations for NextEra Energy and XPLR Infrastructure, LP, leading both companies’ best-in-class IR programs. Prior to assuming the investor relations role, Mr. Roskot held several positions of increasing responsibility with the distributed generation organization.
Mr. Roskot began his career in the fixed income groups of Bear Stearns and J.P. Morgan.
Mr. Roskot received a bachelor’s degree in economics-philosophy from Columbia University and a master’s degree in energy and environmental management from Stony Brook University and is a CFA charterholder.
Lawrence Silverstein
President, Commodities, Trading & Commercial Services
NextEra Energy Marketing
Larry Silverstein is president of NextEra Energy Marketing, a wholly owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources and a premier U.S. energy marketer, responsible for marketing NextEra Energy Resources' merchant power generation, including the largest renewable energy portfolio in North America. Mr. Silverstein is responsible for overseeing the company’s wide range of electricity and gas commodity products as well as providing risk management services to electric and gas utilities, municipalities, cooperatives and other load-serving entities.
Previously, Mr. Silverstein held roles of increasing responsibility within NextEra Energy Marketing. Most recently, he was senior vice president and managing director, responsible for power and fuels marketing and trading operations, including marketing the company’s merchant power generation, proprietary trading and full requirements transactions.
Before joining NextEra Energy Resources, Mr. Silverstein led the asset restructuring group for Citizens Power (now Boston Energy Trading & Marketing). Mr. Silverstein also served as a senior vice president at Lehman Brothers and began his career as a tax lawyer at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen and Hamilton in New York and London.
Mr. Silverstein holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Amherst College and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University.
Michael DeBock is vice president of origination at NextEra Energy Resources, the largest energy infrastructure developer in the U.S.
As head of sales for the company, Mr. DeBock and his national team are directly responsible for helping customers across power, commercial and industrial (C&I) segments meet their power needs.
Prior to his current role, Mr. DeBock was vice president of energy marketing and trading for Florida Power & Light Company (FPL), a subsidiary of NextEra Energy and America’s largest electric utility. He has held diverse commercial leadership roles developing energy infrastructure projects in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Mr. DeBock began his career in the United States Army, where he served eight years as an Apache attack helicopter pilot. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Military Academy and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
Anthony Pedroni
Vice President, Development and Mergers & Acquisitions
NextEra Energy Resources
Anthony Pedroni is vice president of renewable development at NextEra Energy Resources, the largest energy infrastructure developer in the U.S. He leads the national business development team charged with delivering the largest renewables and storage portfolio in the industry.
Mr. Pedroni is responsible for new project identification and development, long-term power purchase contract origination and development site acquisition.
Mr. Pedroni began his career at NextEra Energy Resources in 2007, when he joined as a wind energy developer.
Prior to joining NextEra Energy Resources, Mr. Pedroni served for seven years in the U.S. Air Force. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Matt Valle is president of NextEra Energy Transmission, LLC, a leading competitive transmission company. The company, through its subsidiaries, is currently developing and operating transmission lines across the country and Canada.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Valle was vice president of development at Florida Power & Light Company, America’s largest electric utility, where he led new project and program development for renewable energy, transmission and natural gas.
Prior to joining NextEra Energy in 2011, Mr. Valle was a principal with the Boston Consulting Group and a nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Valle received a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Rick Clark is the vice president of transmission strategy and integration for NextEra Energy Resources, the largest energy infrastructure developer in the U.S. Since 2024, Mr. Clark has been responsible for grid interconnection for operational power generation and energy storage projects, as well as new projects in development.
Mr. Clark joined NextEra Energy in 2015 in engineering and construction, supporting projects for both NextEra Energy Resources and Florida Power & Light Compan y, America’s largest electric utility. He has also held technology-focused leadership positions, evaluating potential new lines of business and investing $200 million in 20 start-up companies with strategic value to NextEra Energy Resources. Mr. Clark serves on the boards of directors of two of these firms, Infinium and Avnos.
Mr. Clark completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University, with a focus on fluid dynamics.
J.D. Rulien is vice president of load hub solutions at NextEra Energy Resources. He leads a team that develops and executes utility-scale energy infrastructure to support multi-gigawatt loads.
In this role, J.D. leads infrastructure development to meet growing demand from high-capacity energy users.
Since joining NextEra Energy Resources, J.D. has advanced through leadership roles in integrated infrastructure and development. Earlier in his career, J.D. served 12 years in the U.S. Air Force, including assignments in Air Force Special Operations Command, where he directed special activities and operations.
J.D earned an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He also completed Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia.
