Educational outreach
NextEra Energy Resources also sees educating the next generation as an important part of being a good community citizen. This is done through:

• A partnership with the KidWind Project to bring the science of wind energy into classrooms throughout Texas. The goal is to:
  • Introduce teachers to the benefits and wonders of wind power
  • Provide hands-on science activities that are challenging and engaging
  • Meet state and federal science and technology standards.
• Teachers take what they learn in these hands-on workshops into their classrooms, exposing hundreds of students to wind energy
• A total of 3,000 science shows
• NextEra Energy Resources employee classroom presentations
