Partners for a clean energy future
Reducing the carbon footprintNextEra Energy Resources and International Speedway Corporation have waved the green flag on a partnership that has put Daytona International Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway on the fast track to reducing their carbon footprint.
NextEra Energy Resources is the Official Renewable Energy Provider of Daytona International and Homestead-Miami Speedways, both of which are operated by International Speedway Corporation (ISC). Marquee races at the speedways
include The Daytona 500 in February, and at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series and Truck Series Finals in November.
Our innovative partnership includes title sponsorship of the NextEra Energy Resources 250 NASCAR Truck Series race during The Daytona 500 weekend. Our ISC partnership provides the company with valuable exposure to dozens of potential new business partners and millions of race fans.
Enhancing ISC's environmental commitmentIn association with our partnership, ISC has enhanced its environmental commitment through the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) from NextEra Energy Resources. The RECs will help fund new renewable energy projects across the United States. All the money from the RECs purchased by ISC will be used to help build new U.S. wind and solar plants.

Learning how you can help in the fight against climate changePartnerships with ISC and other businesses are not the only ways to make a difference. Other opportunities exist for consumers that help balance carbon impact and accelerate America's move to clean energy. In April 2009, NextEra Energy Resources, the largest wind and solar energy producer in North America, launched the EarthEra Renewable Energy Trust and associated renewable energy products. The EarthEra Renewable Energy Trust provides an innovative way for businesses and consumers to make a difference in the fight against climate change with confidence that every penny spent is going directly to the construction of new wind and solar energy projects.
Each person contributes to global warming in some way. The carbon dioxide produced by driving and flying can add up. Calculate here your carbon impact and then learn more about EarthEra and how you can help.
