• Hearing a siren or receiving an emergency alert does not necessarily mean to evacuate the area.
• Siren tests are conducted by local emergency management officials on the first Wednesday of each month at approximately noon. The sirens will sound for about one minute.
• If you hear a siren outside of the normal testing schedule, go inside and check the emergency alert system radio stations for further information.
